Why do our guests choose Comova?
Schedule a free call and we’ll start the conversation to gather all the needed details.
We prepare a free Trip Concepts proposal with 2-3 trip ideas that you can choose from and further tailor to your desires.
Place your deposit and we’ll finalize your trip details and share your personalized Trip Dossier with route information, a guide to packing/preparing, off-the-bike recommendations, and more.
All trips are customized so trip prices vary. Trip planning averages $100/day for DIY trips where we do the planning and you do the riding. Supported trips, where we do the planning and are available for ride support but you ride on your own< average $300/day. Guided trips where we do all the planning, take care of you, and ride with you average $500/day. Prices are for a trip so the per person cost comes down as your group size goes up (max 6).
For guests staying at the Cazita during a West County cycling adventure, rates start at $125/night. For other trips accommodation prices will vary depending on your type of trip (e.g., bikepacking or “credit card” touring) and the level of accommodation you desire.
Trips are fully refundable up to three weeks before your start date. Cancellations less than three weeks out receive a 50% refund or the option of applying your payment to a rescheduled date.
In the case of COVID or unhealthy air due to wildfires, we will reschedule your trip with no penalty.
The cycling in Sonoma’s West County can be challenging. You need to be accustomed to going on a 3+ hour ride and have the ability to climb grades averaging 6% and occasionally ramping up to 10%. If you are newer to cycling or are still building up your fitness, we can plan your trip to a destination that suits your ability and fitness level.
If you have a bike suitable for the terrain you’ll be riding on your trip then definitely bring your bike. Otherwise we can rent you a gravel bike that will be set up with the tires most appropriate for the type of riding you’ll be doing.
Also bring a helmet, shoes and whatever you’re comfortable wearing on a ride plus clothes to wear off the bike.
For bikepacking trips we can provide racks, panniers, frame bags and camping gear if you need them.
On our guided trips you’ll be accompanied by an experienced field mechanic who can handle most minor repairs.
On supported trips you’ll be riding on your own but we’ll be available to meet you on your route to handle mechanical problems or transport you back to the start if needed.
On DIY trips…well, you’re on your own! Of course, we provide as part of our trip planning services recommendations on bike shops and transportation services to help you out if needed.
We accept PayPal and Venmo.
We don’t ask for a trip deposit until after we’ve talked and prepared your Trip Concepts proposal. If you like one of the trips we sketch out for you, then we ask for a deposit in the amount of 15% of the estimated trip cost.
Then we meticulously plan out all trip logistics, build your routes, enhance them with personalized cues and POIs, and put all of this and more in your personal Trip Dossier.
When you are ready to lock in trip dates, we ask for payment of 50% of the trip cost. Full payment is due four weeks before your trip start.
