Jim YoungFebruary 5, 2024Steve and Comova made possible an unforgettable, breathtaking father - daughter ride in West Sonoma County. We were self guided (our ride included some relatively remote areas with poor cell service) but had the reassuring knowledge that Comova wasn’t far … We used the garage to tune up before the ride and used the water to give our bikes a rinse afterward. A spectacular day. We will return and look forward to using Comova for a guided ride and also look forward to staying on site. The accommodations are fantastic. Highly recommended for road and gravel cyclists looking for some great riding in a truly special area.Peter BrisboDecember 12, 2023This past October, a group of us gravel enthusiast took a tour with Comova Cycles that consisted of riding through the beautiful Sonoma Coast line, then inland through the forest of redwoods, coastal oak & bay trees via some really cool fire roads and single track. Matt was our leader, and his attention to detail and knowledge of navigating was impeccable. If you're planning a visit to the SF Bay Area and want to cycle some beautiful gravel trails and roads, I can highly recommend contacting Steve at Comova Cycling. Cheers!Michael KovedDecember 5, 2023Comova Cycling has memorable routes with top notch support. Matt was our guide on a gravel adventure that was super beautiful. We headed along the Sonoma Coast and then went inland on single track and fire roads through mixed forests and open space. The attention to detail for the route planning and on-ride support was spot on. I highly recommend Comova.JonathanDecember 5, 2023Comova is a fantastic way to explore and experience NorCal cycling. Matt was our guide for a 50 mile tour of Sonoma, and we covered a variety of gravel and paved terrain, with a big refuel stop in the middle. The home base setup is also idyllic, in the redwoods, with a casita for staying, a fleet of rental bikes if you didn't bring your own, and an outdoor shower for clean up before dinner at a local brewery. A great experience!Matthew McHughDecember 4, 2023I joined Comova Cycling's King Ridge and Eel River cycling adventure based in the heart of the huge redwoods of Humboldt County in March. Guide Steve Z was super organized and so enthusiastic in sharing his love of riding in special places where so few folks venture. It was a fantastic trip on every level. I rented one of his fleet of VAAST '1x 38-42' gravel bikes and it was set up perfectly for the riding we did. It's really worth considering not having to travel with your own bike. The routes Steve created were gorgeous and very remote with varied scenery and great gravel at elevations that offered sweeping views and long fun descents. The accommodations were also perfect in terms of comfort and location. I highly recommend using Comova Cycling for your Northern California mixed terrain cycling adventure.Valentina DescovichNovember 10, 2023Fantastic tour and organization! I have in my mind to make a tour by bike from San Francisco to San Diego but as I am an Italian I have no idea which could be the best way to run my dream. Steve was able to turn my wish into reality making me discover a lot of beautiful Californian places and amazing viewsSeph MardOctober 17, 2023My adventure with Comova was exceptional from start to finish! Their thorough communication and meticulous planning were evident, ensuring every detail was addressed, which set my mind at ease from the get-go. Despite challenging weather on the day of the ride, my guide Matt ensured a safe, enjoyable, and thrilling experience. His deep knowledge of the area and ability to foster personal connections turned the journey into a memorable outing with friends rather than a standard tour. What truly makes Comova stand out is their blend of professionalism, genuine warmth, and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. Their proactive approach to communication and organization made all the logistics seamless, allowing me to focus on the experience and fully immerse myself in the adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend Comova for anyone seeking a unique, well-planned, and intimate outdoor experience on the west coast. It's not just about the guiding; it's about building lasting relationships and creating unforgettable memories. Eagerly (already!) anticipating round two! - SephTed ParsonsSeptember 17, 2023Comova cycling exceeded all of my expectations! The Cazita, Steve’s routes and how he adjusted each day to my recovery and preferences made this a fantastic and spectacular adventure. Point to point, supported , guided or even “ just” logistics Steve and Comova cycling can create a memorable trip and has exhibited thorough and experienced cycling guidance.Marin VothSeptember 8, 2023We stayed in the Comova Casita for 4 nights, which allowed for 5 excellent days of road and gravel cycling in the area. Mind blown by the routes that started and finished in the redwoods, but also incorporated classic California Coastal Highway view to the west and North, big/epic climbs like King Ridge and Old Caz, and then rural rolling hills to the south out to Tomales. We already had some bucket list routes picked out before we booked the Comova Casita (with some segments from past Grasshopper & Levi's Gran Fondo routes) but Steve offered up some awesome advice/tips about where to find water/restroom stops on course, fresh pavement and more of a shoulder. This kind of local knowledge and advice seriously took our rides from good to great! And knowing where we could refill bottles meant we never had to ride with hydration packs, which is so nice when you are doing big/long days with lots of climbing. We enjoyed every single route and day. And we were stoked to have Steve join us on a couple of our rides where he showed us some additional gravel segments that we would have otherwise missed. (His local / cycling specific knowledge and advice is such a bonus over anything we would have gotten if we had just booked an Airbnb in Guernville.) And the Casita accommodations are so comfortable and perfect! There is a very nice, comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom/shower, and a full kitchen, which we used to cook every night, instead of going out. The bike barn is another big bonus, with a deck and plenty of space to clean/wash/store the bikes. There was even a recovery space in the bike barn for stretching, foam rolling, he had some massage tools, in addition to bike tools / everything you need. There is even this cool little washing machine that you hook up to the sink faucet in the bike barn for doing a small load of kit laundry. (We were on a 9 day road trip, so this worked out great!) The property feels very private and secluded and you really get the feeling of being in the mountains among the big trees, which I love! The casita has high ceilings and lots of windows and light which makes the place feel plenty big. And the internet/wifi worked great (crucial, lol). We were perfectly comfortable and happy to hang out in the casita in the evenings, after our big days out. We were only 2 people, but I can see how this spot could accommodate a couple more if you are traveling as a small group of friends. And I just have to mention again how incredibly awesome the cycling was! We planned our road trip / cycling vacation as a sort of training block to level up our climbing and gravel skills in addition to exploring some new parts of California and this area really delivered! Beautiful, challenging, and a little bit of everything (Coast, Mountains Valleys.. just like the name implies)! Our Comova experience was def. the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!
